Skill Development has been significantly valued and highlighted in the New Education Policy. Many academic and professional courses are now revolving around incorporating the entrepreneurial attitude amongst the young learners. In accordance with this, selected students of the school, got an opportunity to set up an in-house exhibition and to obtain detailed knowledge about varied aspects of ventures and set-ups. Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Gulati, founder Weaving Dreams, has been relentlessly working for the renewal and revival of Phulkari-Folk art of Embroidery. In collaboration with “Passion Phulkari” she mentored the students and guided them about varied aspects of the cultural value of Phulkari. An exhibition of Phulkari products was set up in the school premises. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Vice Principal, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur and the staffers of the school were its visitors and buyers. Students could be seen honing their marketing skills through effective communication while explaining about the intricacies of the product and selling them to their teachers. A day dedicated to the Skill and Craft of India!
