May the Festival of Light brighten up with happiness and Delight...
The auspicious Festival of Diwali brings abundant wishes and joys for each and every one. The celebration of the occasion symbolizes the spiritual victory of “light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance". The festival calls for sweets and gifts, decorations and joyous festivity. A special Diwali Assembly was organized showcasing the significance of Diwali through video presentation. Students of the school were also sensitized about celebrating clean, green Diwali with a pledge “Say No to Crackers”. A short skit illustrating the importance of keeping social distance and avoiding burning of crackers was presented by the students. Vice Principal, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur addressed the assembly and extended warm greetings for Diwali to everyone stressing on the need to have Green Diwali. Other than the Assembly varied craft activities added on to the glitz and glamour of the festival. Students of class I sang ‘Ram Bhajans’ along with getting to know stories and tales associated with the day whereas students of class II made attractive ‘Shubh Laabh Wall Hangings’. Class III students tested their knowledge with Quiz on The Ramayana. Class IV students had Rangoli Making and Class V and VI did Diya decoration and Shloka Chanting. Students of Class VII had Rang Rangoli, making of beautifully adorned patterns with colours; Class VIII welcomed Diwali with creative handmade Toran and Bandhanwars. Class IX artistically displayed Diya making with Bangles and wall hanging with paper plates. Traditionally dressed up students had a gala time making crafty decoratives for the festival. Teachers from classes Nursery to IX made sure that students are told about mythological tales associated with the Day and also showed appropriate videos in the class. The air of the day was rich with greetings galore.
