He reiterated the importance of the role played by educators in the safety and security of children. The teachers were also made aware about the various actions of sexual harassment that are often overlooked and the workshop also provided information to all the teachers such as how to deal with various themes of sexuality; preventive steps to be undertaken; identifying signs of abuse and the relevance of POCSO Act. All the information was imparted in the form of role plays, short videos, activities and discussions. The students were being sensitised to remain alert about the menace and to freely report to parents and teachers in the event of a problem. Our Vice Principal Ms Jaspreet Kaur stressed that schools need to play a proactive role and teachers need to take the lead, in connecting with their children in order to make it work.
