The Under-19 Radhika Cup was held for the 13th time this year at the Tripathi Oval.The competition has been known to encourage young cricketers to show their talent and promote brotherhood and co-operation among team mates.The BBIS Cricket Team have been impressive in cricket tournaments and have shown their class and talent upon many occasions.This tournament was no less.The BBIS cricket time were on a winning streak and had won all 6 of their fixtures to reach the final of the prestigious 16 team tournament.The BBIS cricket team were matched against LB Shastri Coaching Centre, in the finale, who had also been really impressive in the competition and had declared themselves as a very capable side.
The day of the final finally came.Bal Bhavan won the toss and decided to field first and try to restrict the opposition to a low target.The BBIS cricket team produced a great bowling spell to dismantle LB Shastri Coaching Team at score of 185, with Arjun Mathur taking 3 wickets and Mayank Rawat taking 2 wickets to completely obliterate the opposition's batting line up.They were also quite good at the fielding.Our fielders showed great athleticism and agility to stop numerous boundaries and caught stunning catches. The BBIS cricket team now had to chase a target of 186 to win the match.After a scintillating batting performance our school team won the match by 6 wickets.
Arpit Rana scored 60 runs and Yash Dhull scored 75*runs to lift the trophy. Yash Dhull was awarded the “Man of The Match”, whereas Arpit Rana was awarded “Man of The Tournament” award for consistent performances in the tournament.
A victorious and cheerful Bal Bhavan Cricket Team was awarded, the 13th Under 19 Radhika Cup. It was a proud moment and it's memories would be cherished by the players and coaches for years to come.
