BBIS triumphantly celebrates Sports Victories

Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-A desire, a dream and a vision.

Presenting a host of achievements that laud the grit and determination of our young brilliance in sports:

  • School Games Federation of India, SGFI, selected Prerna Saini; weight category under 52 and Komal Verma; weight category under 56 for Taekwondo Nationals. Both the girls who play the sport in U-19 category got the blessed opportunity after proving their mettle in Zonal and Inter-Zonal Competition wherein they bagged first positions. 
  • Gitesh Lakra, showed his valor in Boxing Championship organized by SGFI. He participated in U-14; weight category below 45 and bagged 1st position in Zonals and 3rd position in Inter Zonals. He also received Gold in Delhi State Boxing Championship. Further he is set to conquer the Nationals round as well. Good wishes!
  • Lakshay Lakra, a wrestler in making who fights his competitors in U-14 below 36 weight category, bagged 2nd position in Zonal Boxing Championship and moved on to get 3rd position in Inter Zonals.  He got 3rd position in Delhi State and also participated in Mini India Wrestling Camp, held at Chhatrasal Stadium. 
  • Sanovi Lochab participated in Wrestling Championship in U-17 below 56 Kg weight category and bagged 1st position in Zonals and 2nd position in Inter Zonals. 
  • Team of U-19 boys bagged 3rd position in Volleyball. Further four of the boys Arjun Singh, Prasoon Tyagi, Ankit Singh and Shubham Nagar have been selected to play Inter Zonals.
  • Team of U-17 Girls participated in Zonal Volleyball Camp and bagged 3rd position.
  • In Zonal Athletic Meet 2019-20 Muskan Rana U-19 got 1st position in 100 meter and 200 meter Race. Kanika Gautam, U-17 got 2nd position in 1500 meter Race. Anjali, U-14 got 3rd position in Long Jump. 
  • In Basket Ball Zonals U-19 boys received 4th position.
  • Swastik Sharma, a shining Tennis Star of BBIS bagged a host of accolades. In CS7 U-16 Lawn Tennis Tournament by AITA he got 2nd position. In CS7 U-14 he bagged 1st position. In U-14 Super Series Doubles Lawn Tennis Tournament held at Karnal he received 2nd position. In AITA Super Series U-14 he got 2nd position. Good wishes with high aspirations to the boy!
  • In CBSE Taekwondo Championship 2019-20, Prerna Saini U-19 received 1st position and Komal Verma U-19 received 2nd position. Girls are now set to go for CBSE Nationals to be held at Rampur. 

Heartiest congratulations to the Coach, Mr Rajesh who mentored, guided and imbibed sportsmanship in the mind and spirit of boys and girls. 

 

In Zonal Judo Championship, +90 weight category, Rahul Kumar bagged Gold Medal. Congratulations to the young boy and appreciations for his Coach, Mr. Naushad.

 

North Indian Karate Championship 2019 organized by Shotokan Union of Indian Karate Federation, approved by All India Karate Do federation wherein a team of Karate enthusiasts participated with exhilaration and bagged 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 8 Bronze medals. Each of the participants also received a Certificate. Appreciations to the Coach and congratulations to the Boys!
