Vasant Panchami at BBIS

From the tiny seeds of wisdom and knowledge, beautiful tomorrow grows….

The celebration of Vasant Panchami marks the onset of the upcoming spring season. This is also the day dedicated to pay humble obeisance unto the lotus feet of the Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and all forms of art. The ripening of the yellow mustard flowers adds sparkling colors to the sphere. This day is celebrated across the length and breadth of our rich diverse culture and there are many a legends and folklores associated with the day. At BBIS, this pious day started with “Saraswati Pujan”  by the Vice Principal Ms. Jaspreet Kaur and other staff members. The Sanskrit department of the school took care of the festivities and organized a virtual special assembly. A skit depicting the significance of the day, Shlok Gayan, dance, hymns and poem praising the Goddess were presented in the assembly.  After prayer distribution of ‘Prasad’  made the day virtuous. Towards the end of the assembly, Vice Principal of the school addressed the students and gave her good wishes and blessings to all the children. May the Goddess guide and bless us all to attain enlightenment through knowledge!
