India is unique country with diversity in all its facets. India is known for diversity in region, diversity in languages, diversity in food, diversity in clothes, diversity in festivals, diversity in states, diversity in everything which uniquely represents country and its people. India is a land that represents a medley of different cultures and still holds the roots of unity.
The students of classes Nursery to II of BBIS celebrated “ATULYA BHARAT WEEK” where they were left awestruck by the diversity that they witnessed among themselves by way of discussions, videos, power point presentations and other activities.
Activities for classes NUR, KG, 1st included:
DAY 1:- Knowledge of National symbols through dress up, cutouts or real objects that stand as National symbols.
DAY 2:- Class room tour with food items of different states displayed with the names of states.
DAY 3:- Knowledge of monuments through flash cards, cutouts, images on Teach NXT.
DAY 4:- Information of festivals celebrated across the Nation was shared through a video.
DAY 5:- To culminate the enriching experience, the children came dressed in attire of different states and walked in style on the ramp.
Activities for Class 2 included:
DAY 1:- The knowledge of different states, territories and their capitals was shared using audio visual aid of Teach NXT.
DAY 2:- The knowledge of languages and festivals of different states was shared through a video.
DAY 3:- The knowledge of different religions, National symbols and the National emblem was shared through a power point presentation.
DAY 4:- The students also dressed up in attire of their own state to showcase the diversity.
DAY 5:- A feast of the food from different states marked the culmination day.
Indeed, it was a week that filled each mind and soul with a pride for our nation ‘INDIA’ where the strength lies in its Unity and the beauty lies in its Diversity.
