The Cricket Kudos

One more warm and pleasant day with another historical event at Bal Bhavan International school. The holy sport of India was enthusiastically played and participated in by the Bhavanite star cricketers and International cricketers from Darren Lehman Cricket Academy from Australia on the 20th of April , 2019.

This monumental event was held for the young and growing cricketers under 16 years. A friendly amiable match for which numerous spectators had arrived. A major part of the crowd had gathered there just to see the three Ranji Trophy players in the match.

The DLCA had opted for the cricket ground of Bal Bhavan not only because it is internationally standardised and well kept but also in aspect of creating new amity, cordiality and goodwill between people , by holding out a hand of friendship. A truly monumental  moment.

The matches each of 20 overs were held, which could have been a bit overwhelming for the viewers if only they had not been so excited! Never had we ever seen a crowd so large and jolly . The place was packed ! The guests included international coaches, important delegates from Australia alongside Bhavanite coaches .

Both the teams on behalf of Bal Bhavan were wished good luck for their future endeavours.  The first match was commenced with a toss which was won by the DLCA , who chose to bat under the captainship of Travis Mickan.

The second match then commenced with BBIS winning the toss and choosing to bat under the captainship of  Arpit Rana.

Both the matches were won by Bal Bhavan Cricket Academy.

Mr. Mark Harrity and Mr.Peter Muggleton , the respected coaches of DLCA ,were called on stage to expound  their views and then everyone saw the match from their vocalised perspective. The coach’s inspiring words still linger in our minds. Everyone showcased their skills to the extreme and everyone played with a true spirit of sportsmanship , which is exactly how matches should be played! The motive shouldn’t always be winning, for experienced learning is the greatest good ever acquired.

On behalf of the cricket academy , from the spectators to the players and to the honourable guests , who had coalesced together , were thanked for attending and spectating the match with a zealous energy. Bal Bhavan was honoured to sport such a great event and it was a pleasure to be the part of growing mutual understandings and bonds between two nations. Two people of completely different culture and practices.

Concluding , we are compelled to say that sports is a religion. Not just about victory , but the amalgamation of many miniscule things which are necessary in a fair play. Sportsmanship always remains a victor and has no parallels. Satisfaction is divine.

The match gave the players of different teams an exposure to learning and experience. An experience of a lifetime. Be it here or there , new relations were created, augmenting to an another whole that we call friendships!
