Dussehra Celebration at BBIS

May the good tidings wash away the evils and usher in the true spirit of virtues rooted in kindness.

“VijayDashmi’ a composite of two words Vijay meaning victory and Dashmi meaning tenth; connotes the festival of celebrating victory of good over evil on the tenth day of auspicious Kartik month of the Hindu Calendar. The festival was celebrated with joyous and blissful fervor by the students of the school. A Special Assembly presented virtually covered the essence of the festivity. Students presented the video description and also urged everyone to overcome the negativities hidden inside us all. There also was a talk about the evils of the society that are like the incarnation of ‘Ravana’ and are causing immense harm to the people. Further, students of class Toddler and KG dressed up in vibrant traditional attire recited ‘Chaupais’ from ‘The Ramayana’. This activity not just helped in enhancing oratory skills but provided immense insight to the students about rich Ancient Indian Epics. Students of Class I were made well-versed with the story of the Demon King Ravana and Lord Rama. They also engaged in craft activity by making Ravana with paper cups and spoons. Students of class II were shown a PPT covering the outline message of Dussehra, that is to follow the path of truth and honesty. Thus, the students reveled in the cheerful delights of happy festivities
