“I don’t want to protect the environment; I want to create the world where environment doesn’t need protection.”
BBIS students, and staff once again banded together to organize Eco Week – a campaign to raise awareness, encourage more sustainable behavior and enhance both, environmental science as well as nature of science. The environment is significant because it is a source of natural beauty and it is our primitive duty to take care of it and make it green.
An assembly was conducted on account of eco week by plumes in which the students through their speech clearly conveyed the message “that how vivid is to keep our environment neat and clean and make it eco friendly.”Further a Nukkad Natak was performed by class 5th students the purpose was to make everyone realize that we should not neglect the garbage and it is very essential to keep our environment clean.Later a mime act was put up by class 4th students making as aware about the importance of water.
Further the whole school was filled with heartwarming and ecologically poignant artworks and various didactic activities orchestrated by the students of various classes. Class III conducted a rally march highlighting the importance of not wasting food because of the severe effects it has on the environment. Another interesting activity was conducted by class 4th where with a perfect blend of creativity and imagination students prepared beautiful items out of biodegradable waste. They participated with great avidity. E waste craft making activity by class V was witnessed by the school where students used electronic waste and made beautiful items. Class VI made a ball out of clay with seed in it and later it was kept in the school garden. A bag making activity out of waste was put up by class VII. Class VIII presented a skit based on say “no to plastic” and also planted medicinal plants in small pots. All these activities were indeed the best where students developed an artistic ability, collaborative learning and aesthetic workmanship among themselves. At the end of the week an inter house skit competition hinged on “save environment” was put up by our senior wing. The school management also appreciated and commended the sustained effort made by the students and science teachers in making the eco week a roaring success.
