Navratri Celebration

The blessings and wisdom are bestowed; rejoice the Goddess is here to save the world.”

Navratri is one of the most auspicious festivals of the Hindus. The festival is celebrated over a span of nine days, each devoted to one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. The tenth day is celebrated as Vijay Dashmi which commemorates the victory of good over evil. Lord Rama defeated demon king Ravana while Goddess Durga killed the demon Mahishasur and saved the entire world. The festivities were celebrated and enjoyed with enthusiasm by all the students. A Special Assembly was conducted by students of Toddlers and Kindergarten. Through varied presentations the students were enriched about the traditional and mythological stories attached with celebrating Navratri.   The Assembly included a mesmerizing depiction of the different forms of the Mother Divine. At the start of the Navratri there was “Durga Aavhaan” along with myriad activities conducted, befitting the festive occasion. Students decked up in vibrant attire performed Dandiya dance. The activities of Kalash Decoration, Greeting Card making, Art and Craft activities depicting Vijay Dashmi, Candle Holders and Mask Making added on to the festive glee.

May the choicest of the Divine Blessings, illuminate our Lives always!
